Since I upgraded to WP2 and it installs the Akismet spam filter I’m going to try turning off moderation by default and see how well it does.

Several months after it came out I finally got around to upgrading to WordPress version 2. In the process I also added a tell-a-friend script that will let you email postings to friends of yours.

Turns out Google Videos will let you link to their stuff. And even better, there appears to be no shortage of people taping the stupid things they do so we all can share in the fun.

I hadn’t ever noticed this before, but Wordpress has a small bug when you trackback to a page after clicking ‘Save and Continue Editing’. Instead of using the permalink, it uses the index.php?p=123 format.

After starting with Wordpress 1.5.2 with another blog that I was doing from scratch, I decided it was worth biting the bullet and upgrading here as well. Some security fixes are touted on the Wordpress site, but no specific listing. Personally, I upgraded because it seems a little faster.
