Why did Fred Phelps cross the ocean?

The Westboro Baptist Church has announced plans to picket in Treviso, Italy on September 3rd as part of their Love Crusades program.

Maybe in a country that doesn’t go quite as far out of its way to protect the rights of idiots to say whatever the feel somebody will finally do what needs to be done and beat the crap out of these guys.
