Want to buy a tattooed fish?
It looks like tattooed fish may be the next fad. Pet stores have started carrying the fish with messages tattooed in to their sides and they are selling fast.
Yes, the idea of an I love you fish is cute, especially around Valentine’s Day. But think about the logistics of doing this to fish where it would be profitable. There’s no way they’re giving the fish any type of anesthetic. And they’re probably killing more fish along the way than make it to a pet store. Plus, who knows what the ink does to the fish down the line.
This is just a case of somebody trying to come up with the next Pet Rock. Only problem is that the Pet Rock wasn’t alive so it didn’t care that it was painted and stupid googly eyes were glued on. But fish feel pain, or so I would assume.
I would like to know what girls usually think when they get present like that (or anyone). “Hey thank, I love the idea that fish was hurted because of me”. Nice business idea anyway and I believe that it make nicely money. I wonder also how they tattoo a fish, is those equipment waterproof

I clicked on the link to find out where I could buy one of these cool little guys…. you can only imagine my dissapointment when I found it was only a bunch tree huggers afraid of hurting a fish and no information on where to get one

Please…. whoever said they would not buy a fish that was treated like that… its like someone saying “I would never adopt that dog who has been abused and neglected to make the pet a better life.” Please, like everything in this world FOR LOOKS… like putting on makeup or like children in beauty pageants… its all the same. A friend of mine purchased one of these fish 3 years ago… and she (the fish) is still going strong!

You can now go to your local pet store and buy a tatoo fish. For real. In Michigan, I went to a Meijers store and bought one, but unfortunally,my friend ended up killing it befor I could get an aquarium of my own at home, so, its real, you can buy them and you dont even have to put up with ordering them off the internet, just go to pretty much anywhere that sells fish now
This is retarded. Why would you want a fish to go through that pain just so you can feel good about yourself when you look in the tank? It’s the simple rules of supply and demand. If people keep buying these abused and neglected fish, more will undergo the pen. Lowered demand = lowered supply.
Just a bunch of stupid tree huggers. I draw the line at cutting off tails and fins and what not, but a tattoo? really? Millions of people around the world get tattoes with no ill effect, and if you were to do a little research, these tattooes are done with lasers. These fish go through a little pain ya, but just like a human tattoo, they dont hurt for very long. And to not buy one just because it is tattooed? Ya… that works. It’s not the fishes fault it’s tattoed. Just a bunch of ignorant hippies.
