Teddy bear a killer, of 2,500 fish
A teddy bear caused the death of 2,500 trout at a hatchery in New Hampshire. The bear was dropped in a pool and found its way to a pipe that blocked air getting to the fish. Hatchery workers do not know who dropped the bear.
The deaths prompted a new sign - “RELEASE OF ANY TEDDY BEARS into the fish hatchery water IS NOT PERMITTED.”
