This is why guys don’t ask for directions
Joshua Kelly and Llara Brook were arrested last weekend by Baltimore police for asking for directions. Well, they were arrested for trespassing (on a public street) while asking for directions.
Lost in the Cherry Hill section of Baltimore, the couple asked for directions from a police officer. Unfortunately they ran a stop sign to get to the cop. According to Kelly they were willing to pay the citation and asked for directions to which the police officer replied, “You found your own way in here, you can find your own way out.”
Spotting another police vehicle the pair went towards that officer but the original officer, 6 year veteran Natalie Preston, stepped in between saying “my partner is not going to step in front of me and tell you directions if I’m not.”
After 8 hours in jail the couple was released without having been charged. Because his car was left unlocked by the police after the arrest Kelly claims that a cell phone charger, a pair of sunglasses, and 20 cds were stolen.
