Maxim Marketing in a Google Earth world
Ok, this is pretty cool. Maxim Magazine printed a 75×110 foot mesh windscreen version of their cover and laid it flat on the Nevada dessert. Not so passing motorists could see it but so passing satellites could. They want Google Maps to pick up the image.
And just in case, there are several postings on the CNet site that this is a hoax and the image isn’t really there. Either way, it’s still a cool idea.
