Playboy with no nudity?
It sounds like they’re just trying to use the Playboy brand to sell magazines in Indonesia. But they certainly are getting publicity. Protestors have taken to the streets against Playboy publishing an Indonesian version. The strong Muslim community is against the magazine, even the fully clothed version published specifically for Indonesia.
Trying to sell something where this much protesting is going on may be a clue that not everybody wants to buy a magazine with naked (or at lease pseudo-risque) women. In that case it just seems to be a publicity stunt to fight back against the free pictures that are overly available on the internet. Of course, if it’s a publicity stunt then I suppose I’m helping them out. But it’s just too stupid to pass up.
