$80,000 - A buck at a time

As part of a foreclosure settlement, William Lewis Jr. was ordered to pay $80,000. He paid with 80,000 $1 bills. Says Lewis, “I wanted to bring it in pennies, but I couldn’t find them in time. That would have been three armored cars.” Lewis is fighting foreclosure on a property that he claims the bank had stopped automatically taking out payments without telling him.

  1. From what I understand, Mr. Lewis was not able to secure the pennies he wanted to pay into the court registry. I have listened to Bill’s radio show in the past and this subject has made for very comical discussion. For those of you unaware of William Lewis, he is a credit repair guru with Credit Restoration Consultants in Davie, Florida. As host of a weekday radio show on 1470 AM in south Florida, he can be heard at 9 a.m. discussing credit and financial related topics. I wonder what he will think of next…..

According to published reports in the Tampa Tribune, Bill Lewis is once again in the news with his E-Bay purchase of a charity dinner with MJ Schnitt of the Schnitt Show. $8,000.00 is a mere pittance to pay for the Shriners’ Children’s Hospital charity dinner compared to the $80,000 paid to the court in Highlands county on the foreclosure action. I applaude individuals like Lewis and Schnitt for making an effort toward a worthwhile cause!

  3. It appears that Bill Lewis has won several similar E-Bay auctions in the past. His most notable auction purchase of Courtney Van Dunk last year made nationwide news. Lovely Courtney advertised her body for advertising purposes and Credit Restoration Consultants was the winner. With all the publicity surrounding his purchases, Bill Lewis seems to be his own publicist. Is a career change in order? Will Bill Lewis change from a radio talk-show host and credit restoration expert to a publicist????

I don’t know if Bill Lewis will become his own publicist, but he does pretty good radio. In fact, Bill recently hosted the Steve Kane Show on WWNN 1470 in Boca Raton, Florida.

Bill Lewis is much better at credit restoration than acting as a talk-show host. In fact, Bill himself states he is getting bored with hosting a weekday talk show.

  6. Interesting radio show that this Bill Lewis hosts.
