Teacher being sued for bathing too early
Shannon Peterson is being sued by her upstairs neighbors. Seems Ms. Peterson, a special education teacher, is in the habit of bathing before she goes to work. The elderly neighbors, the Smiths, have complained that Peterson running the water causes the pipes to be noisy, disturbing their sleep.
Normally this would just be a case of neighbors arguing between each other. Unfortunately for Ms. Peterson, the Smiths have a son that’s a lawyer.
The younger Smith sent a letter to Peterson, stating that her “intransigence… and tortuous conduct have resulted in incredible sleep deprivation for Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Your obstinacy has ruled the day. That will now cease.” This neighborly letter was followed by the Smiths filing suit.
According to the Denver Post, the original letter demands that Peterson not run water in her bathtub before 8am.
The hearing for the suit is scheduled for March 22.

While I agree that this guy is going way overboard, I don’t think that sharing his email address with the world is a good solution.
Plus, if he’s not afraid to sue a special education teacher over taking a bath, he’s certainly not going to have a problem suing over spam.
