Police dog sued for illegal search
An Athens, Ohio, man is suing the Athens County sheriff’s office, naming a police dog as one of the defendants.
Wayne Green claims that an illegal search by police dog Andi lead to 50 pounds of marijuana being found in his furniture store. Green was convicted and will be sentenced next month.
The prosecutor who served Andi made sure to get a paw print on the signature line, just to be sure.
