This weeks sign of the apocalypse: Exploding frogs

At a pond in Germany frogs are exploding. More than 1,000 so far. The frogs blow up like balloons until their stomachs burst.

Local scientists have tested the toads and the pond, but cannot find a cause.

  1. exploding frogs are a common cause of an increase of pressure within the frogs body. The pressure is often higher than the outside and causes a small pop. This is most dangerous when cooking a frog over an open fire.

  2. I have recently cooked a frog and initially found they also tend to explode. the answer to this problem is to wrap the frog in foil to contain the explosion. this does require licking the foil afterwards to ensure a filling meal. Have you ever tried cutting the eyes off snails? I find they make a excellent starter
