Karen Stolzman, 44 of Sheboygan, was sentenced to 6 months in jail. She had faced 9 months. Her crime: Stolzman dug up the remains of her deceased boyfriend.
The boyfriend, Michael Hendrickson, died in 1992 of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Last fall relatives contacted authorities when the noticed his remains missing. Beer and cigarettes burried with Hendrickson were also missing.
Stolzman and Hendrickson were living together in 1992, while each were married to a different partner. Stolzman was with Hendrickson when he shot himself.
At the time of her arrest, Stolzman was found hiding in her shower. Hendrickson’s remains were found in her garage.
