A 64-year-old driver’s education instructor is hospitalized after being run over by his student.
Patricia Erwin was freed from underneath a car after being trapped for 15 minutes after being run over by an unnamed student. She underwent surgery for broken ribs, a broken leg, and a shoulder injury.

Water purifying straw

This actually seems like a pretty good idea, albeit a little on the expensive side. It’s a straw that purifies the water going up as your drink. It filters out 96% of the crud in the water, so in a pinch you can bend down and drink directly from a puddle.

Bank robber nabbed because of spelling errors

A New Yorker was arrested for robbing a bank. Bart Thomas has been linked to at least 13 other robberies because of poor spelling. He spelled robbery r-o-b-r-i and quick k-w-i-k.

Cover up Virginians

A bill passed in Virginia makes it illegal to display underpants in a “lewd or indecent manner.” The law carries a $50 fine. According to the bill sponsor, his constituents are offended by underwear being visible above the pant waist line.
