Villahermosa, Mexico, residents can no longer walk around their houses naked

A law going into effect Jan. 1, in Villahermosa, Mexico, makes it illegal for a person to walk around their house in the nude. Offenders can be given up to 36 hours in jail or a fine of 1,356 pesos, about 120 dollars.

Villahermosa is known for its hot, humid climate; and the residents do what they can to keep themselves cool while at home. Evidentally, too often they forget to close their blinds first.

Detection seem to be the hard part. Peeping Toms can also be hit with jail time, so it seems that the police may have a difficult time finding offenders of the new law.
