You don’t know where that money has been
An Iowa man is arrested for paying his parking ticket. More specifically, he was arrested for how he chose to pay it. He sent the payment in as cash covered in fecal matter.
Ronald Preston McPike sent an envelope labeled “Foreign brown substance on bills” along with a ticket and the money to pay it. Officials determined the brown substance to be fecal matter and that it had been smeared on the bills.
McPike told police that the $5 for the fine had fallen into a toilet. County officials are seeking the maximum $500 fine and 30 days in jail, and have charged McPike with harassment of a public official.
