Man stuck in restaurant grease vent
A man in Redmond, Oregon got stuck in a crime; literally. He tried to break into a restaurant by going down the grease vent, but he didn’t quite make it.
Two young men were walking down the street when they heard cries for help. Upon investigating, they realized that the sounds were coming from the roof of a nearby gas station / restaurant. The two men found 39-year-old Michael J Macy stuck in a vent over the restaurant deep fryer. Macy did not know how long he had been trapped.
Complaining of cramping, paramedics were called to examine Macy. But, other than being covered head to toe in grease, he was fine.
Macy was taken to the county jail where he faces charges of second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief, and possession of burglar’s tools. He is currently being held on $10,000 bail.
What makes this even worse for Macy is that he lost his job because of this; he worked at the restaurant he was trying to break into.
